Nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing makes me stop bringing business to one of my suppliers more then them lying to me.
I recently placed a fairly small order with a company Ive used more then a decade, supported them all through covid even though my business had closed. They marked it shipped immediately which was great it was for a rush order, but then 3 days later I still had no tracking so I had to reach out to them. They immediately gave me a tracking number and the were so busy were so sorry line businesses give. Which was fine until the next day when i checked that tracking number to find they immediately cancelled the shipment to me.
Again I reached out and they gave me a different tracking number and again it was canceled (by them) now im upset and reach out one more time by now its too late for me to fulfill the order as a weeks gone by and my customer is waiting. And i finally get a tracking number thats not canceled yet my order has yet to ship.

And the point is when I had first reached out if you had told me, I was not going to receive my order for 2 to 3 weeks. It would’ve been fine. I could’ve let my customer know. I couldn’t fill their order and they could’ve had the time to find someone else who could, but because they continue to lie to me, my customeris upset with me.
Needless to say, I will not be spending thousands of dollars a year with this supplier anymore.
