After eight years of running 7TILL8, we’ve decided to close our doors.
We started with the curiosity to see if we could solve a well-known problem within the ocean community: wetsuit fit. We also wondered if we could create a brand that gave people a sense of pride and confidence to explore their relationship with the water. We named it after our favorite time to surf, a summertime sunset session in Malibu.
Building 7TILL8 was the privilege of a lifetime. We created custom wetsuits made from Yamamoto #40 and fit thousands of people across 37 countries. It took us to the dreamiest breaks around the world.
We met the most magnetic people and experienced awe-inspiring sessions. Professional surfers, freedivers, CEOs, shapers, artists… so many people that we otherwise would not have crossed paths with if not for a shared love for the water.
We started 7TILL8 simply because we wanted to see what was possible. We didn’t fully anticipate the growing pains of supply chain disruptions, market forces, and capital pressures. Any founder will understand how a business you love can fuel, expand, and consume you all at once. We didn’t know what we didn’t know.
We want to thank everyone who has crossed paths with us and supported 7TILL8. It gave us the opportunity to transform our lives and we couldn’t be more grateful.
