The 2026 Freeze Out Jeep Ride in the Smokies will be on Saturday, January 10, 2026!

Don't know what Freeze Out is? It's a FREE to attend, thrilling winter Jeep adventure through Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Feel the chill, connect with fellow Jeepers, and enjoy the crisp mountain air as we make our way through some of the most breathtaking scenery in the Smokies.

This is a rain, shine, or snow event. Please note that the ride route will be the Cades Cove loop unless the roads into the Great Smoky Mountains National Park are closed due to weather.

Planning to attend Jeeps Takeover Townsend (powered by RealTruck) this year?
📍Valid for all 3 days (Thursday–Saturday) at the Greater Smokies Event Grounds (7930 E Lamar Alexander Pkwy).
🍔 All vendors, food trucks, & GIANT DUCK will be located here!
🕙 Vendor Marketplace Hours: Thursday - Saturday (August 21-23) 10:00 am – 6:00 pm ET
🔥 All proceeds from parking benefit the Townsend Area Volunteer Fire Department.

There is also parking available behind Cades Cove Jeep Outpost for FREE. Pop in to shop and also visit our neighbors at Camp Wild Flowers and Bigfoot in the Smokies!

Jeeps Takeover Townsend is back and bigger than ever, and you won’t want to miss it!

Hosted annually since 2018 in the scenic mountain community of Townsend, TN (located just outside of one of two entrances to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park). This 3 day event corresponds with the Great Smoky Mountain Jeep Invasion located 16 miles away in Pigeon Forge, TN. This is a shopping experience like none other for you and your Jeep. Take advantage of the lowest prices of the year on gifts, apparel and Jeep accessories.

This year’s Go Topless in the Smokies ride on Saturday, May 17th is stock-friendly and will take you through Cades Cove, Parson Branch, along the Foothills Parkway, and finish at Cades Cove Jeep Outpost.

Lineup will start at the Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center (123 Cromwell Dr, Townsend, TN 37882) at 11:00 am and the ride will depart at 12:00 pm. We hope to see you there!
