Riding on the road can be dangerous, even on side roads near our home. Stay far enough in the traffic lane to avoid being hit if doors of parked cars suddenly open and beware of pedestrians popping out suddenly from between cars.

Take care of your back while cycling! Be careful not to sneak forward on the saddle and bend your back when you are tired. Shift to a higher gear and stand to pedal occasionally to avoid stiffness in thighs and back.
