I began sewing at age 6 while spending wonderful weekends with my grandmother. My grandmother made my clothing as well as clothing for my 3 brothers. Times were certainly hard when I was a child but my siblings and I were always dressed well thanks to grandma. My grandmother continues to be an inspiration to me, always on my mind when I sew. I enjoy working with natural, fine and vintage fabrics a

nd also love creating items that are meaningful and useful. I have made 4 wedding gowns--my own, my best friend's and both my daughter's. Every stitch made with love! Whether I am creating something new using new or vintage materials, upcycling or repurposing, I am using my gifts...what could be better? I'm loving what I do and doing what I love!
