Working on tiny baby clothes from 1.4-8.5 pound babies! Will keep you updated

This is the outfit that I picked for my baby when she died. I never intended on buying her anything that wasn't thrifted or handmade and I didn't have anything formal for her to wear because I didn't think she needed it. I didn't even know she was going to be a girl because we chose not to find out the gender. When the funeral director asked for an outfit and a hat, I went into her room for the first time all by myself. I looked through my baby clothes and only found casual gender neutral t shirts and started to cry. I felt like I failed her because none of these clothes were for her. I searched hard online for all the stores near me and found the only 1 outfit that I liked. It was difficult enough finding a dress for an 8 pound baby, I can't even imagine if she was tiny. Buying an outfit for my baby that I don't get to raise was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. I want to make sure that mothers are given a special outfit for their babies after loss because when a baby only gets to wear one thing, it makes that outfit so much more important.
