And just like that…we are down to one last day! The sale is still 60-75% off.
We opened February 10th, 2016. My hope was to bring inspiration and an enjoyable in-person shopping experience to Tulsa in a world when online shopping was growing exponentially. One of the things most often voiced by customers was how relaxed and friendly the atmosphere was and how they enjoyed our displays and the items we carried. And that means our job was done. We had an extremely loyal set of customers and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
But I didn’t do this alone. I have had my husband, Brian, as my handyman, muscle and computer tech. He was and is the fixer. Thank you for supporting my second career even when you didn’t understand it.
I have been blessed with a group of incredible women employees over the years that have become my second family. We have been through births, deaths, children growing to adults, and yes menopause together. First and most importantly, my manager Molly Longmore, has run the front of the store like a pro. She has been my Girl Friday. Her steadfast generosity and dedication to the store have allowed me to stay mostly in the shadows where I am the happiest. I could go on vacation without worries because I knew I had a dependable partner running the show back home. And I am forever grateful. Deena Stacy, Ja Ann Beffer, Stacey Biram, Codi Winters, Megan O’Neal, Jana Ketchel, Landon Gracia Jelley, Lisa Johnson, Janelle Carter, Shelley Drullinger, Sydney Vincent, Monica Whiteley, Traci Chord, and Jayne Hieger have all graced us with your smartness, creativity, humor, and support to the business, the customers and each other over the years. The store worked because of you and your work and Molly and I are so appreciative for your friendship. Thank you all so much. There have been younger ladies who have learned the trade and contributed to the store since opening. Kenzie, Megan, Lauren, Morgan, Taylor, Jacey, Mara, Anna, Lilli, Kathryn and I’m sure I missed several. Thank you for putting up with us older ladies and sharing your younger perspective in the store. Now time to rest! Keep following along as we share our next exploits!

The Final Days are here! There are great prices on furniture and display pieces. We will be open 10-4 pm Tuesday and Wednesday only. All items must be paid for and picked up by close of business Wednesday unless prior arrangements have been agreed upon with Molly or Libby. No holds without payment by cash or CC. We thank you for your patience during this very busy time. We will so miss our loyal customers. Tomorrow’s post will be about our plans for the future.

And that’s a wrap…after careful consideration, I have decided it’s time to enjoy life’s smaller pleasures, and so Pardon My French is closing its doors. This dream would have never worked without all the great smart women who have been by side over the past 10 years. And so much love to our loyal customers who have often become friends. Tomorrow we begin our closing sale beginning at 20% off everything in the store with some items marked up to 75% off. We will take returns of purchases before the sale began on Monday and Tuesday only and after that, all sales are final. Gift certificates must be used by May 16th. We open at 10am and tomorrow will begin closing at 4pm Monday through Saturday. Our deepest gratitude for the last 10 years. It has been our pleasure!
