A little photo dump because somehow a LOT has happened around here this week…

🐥 Hatched some ridiculously cute new Silkie babies
🤍 Brought home TWO new Showgirl Silkie chicks and I am already completely obsessed with these weird little cuties 😭
🐈‍⬛ Added two barn boys to the crew — Waylon & Willie
🐰 Somehow also came home with TWO Lionhead bunnies for Emerie — Cocoa Puff & Honey Buns (because clearly we needed more mouths to feed 😂)
🐓 Randal, our Polish rooster, continues to bless us with his ridiculous hair and general Randal-ness
✨ Plus plenty of the usual fluffy, feathered chaos and some of my favorite faces from the week.

Well… hi again. 👋🏼 It’s been a minute. Like, almost five years kind of a minute. 😂

If you’ve been here for a long time, you probably remember this page as Pieces To Peaces — my handmade headband company that I ran for years while living in Washington. What started as me making things turned into this amazing little business that shipped packages all over the world and connected me with so many wonderful people. 🤍

When our family moved to Oklahoma, life changed quite a bit and I eventually decided it was time to close that chapter. And apparently disappear from this Instagram account for five years. 😅

Fast forward to now… life looks a little different.

I’m still a real estate broker, we have a little homestead, and somewhere along the way I became completely obsessed with chickens. Like… way too many chickens obsessed. 🐓😂

So it felt right to dust off this old corner of Instagram and give it a new life as Pretty Little Layers. 🐣🌸

I’ll be sharing our flock, colored eggs, chicks, chicken keeping, farm chaos, things I’m learning along the way and probably an unreasonable amount of pictures of my favorite birds.

Starting, obviously, with Lil Karen — tiny Polish chicken, professional shoulder sitter, and clearly management material. 🤍
