I got a new devotional from my wonderful father-in-law Bill Welch for my birthday. Thank you Bill! Today I opened it to the correct date and read what it said.
God’s Word is perfect, in every season. It is meant to mold us and shape us to be more like Jesus, His only Son. I’m going to like this book❣️I need His Word every day.

Happy Father’s Day to the best Dad and husband any woman could ever imagine…and a great fisherman too! Caught 5 bass on just a 1/2 loop around the lake and this is just day 1 on the water—fish fry ahead. I am the one who had the best catch, you Dan Skulan❣️

This sweet daughter of mine is all grown up!! Happy 21st birthday Laura Mei Skulan! You are still as precious and feisty as you were 10 years ago today. I love you with all my heart — I’m so grateful God made us family❣️❣️❣️

It’s been a while since I entered a quilt in our Boone County Fair because I hand sew, thus my projects take forever. This “1847 Baltimore Bride’s Quilt” was a ‘Block of the Month’ project…which turned into a ‘Block of the year’ project for me. Nevertheless it was dropped off at the fair yesterday — we’ll see how it does.
For those that quilt: It is hand-appliqué in wool onto to black flannel. I did machine sew the backing blocks and the binding for sturdiness purposes.
Ps—my snarky daughter Laura Mei Skulan asked if 1847 was the year I started it — Ha ha!
