Primrose Sewing is owned by an award-winning seamstress in Franklin, TN. We teach youth and adults! She started sewing at the age of 3.

Primrose Sewing is a small business by a 20-year-old seamstress and entrepreneur in Franklin, TN. Abby offers weekly sewing classes and summer camps, seasonal workshops and individual lessons, birthday parties and consultation services. Her core competencies include: sewing techniques, teaching, pattern-making, original designs, straight stitch, re-fashioning items, consulting, re-purposing fabric, and costuming. Her inaugural classes for beginners (ages 7-13 years) in late summer 2017 appealed to 24 students, and she has taught an additional 525 students since then! Thank you for your interest!

More than 300 girls and boys made priceless memories and sewed many creative projects in the recently-completed Summer Day Camps with Primrose Sewing! New friendships, life skills, lots of laughter, and incredible learning opportunities, and treasured keepsakes made the Summer of 2026 epic! We were delighted to teach so many campers from the greater Nashville area! On July 21, 2017, Abby taught her first five Primrose Sewing students in the bonus room of her parents' home in Franklin, TN! No one could have imagined that nine years later...she and her team (pictured with Emory - Student #458 and a current summer staff member) are teaching student #1,800 soon! Cumulatively, the Primrose Sewing students have sewn for more than 40,000 hours, and since 2022, in partnership with Williamson County Parks & Recreation. Congratulations to Abby on realizing her dream to become an entrepreneur and owner of the premier place in Middle Tennessee for children and teens to learn how to sew!

Primrose Sewing students love sewing service projects for the Nashville Zoo! The spring service project was sewing 20 flannel joey pouches for the baby kangaroos as well as 13 flannel blankets for the animals needing medical care. Miss Abby organized a "Meet Us at the Zoo" Family Field Trip in late April to deliver the donations and let the students learn more about the animals. Dr. Heather Schwartz, Director of Animal Health, expressed thanks to the 45 spring students, "You guys are amazing, and we so appreciate your support of the zoo!"

Close to 50 youth are sewing creative projects in small group classes this spring! The students have sewn notepad and pen holders, bunny plushies, triangle pillows, and fabric banner wall hangings so far. Our service project is sewing joey pouches and flannel blankets for the Nashville Zoo, and then we'll finish the spring session with a surprise project! During the Winter Weekly Youth Classes, Primrose Sewing students sewed small drawstring bags, fabric bookmarks, fleece mittens, cinnamon roll pillows, conversation heart pillows as the surprise project, and canvas tote bags as the service project for children with special needs.
