This months Sewing Club was so inspirational!

Sew Nice KIDS CLUB was a smashing success last week with eleven young ladies ranging in age from seven to twelve. Such a fantastic group! They were so excited to learn! They were super creative in their color and project choices and each one was a joy to work with.
We really tested them their first day; we started with a simple square bookmark project and they all did very well. Then we threw a difficult one at them using Cuddle, and what a bunch of sewing warriors they were! Eleven beautiful, gusseted star pillows were made that were sooo cuddly soft.
The next day each girl chose her own fabrics for a stylish hobo bag and the fabrics and color choices they made were gorgeous! The reversible bag had four pockets and was a real hit! We had a special treat for the group when when Wanda and Lizzy stopped in the store. Wanda agreed to sing the National Anthem and as soon as Lizzy got over her stage fright, she broke into song! Everyone was so entertained! 😂🤣😂 It was a bit difficult getting back on track after that, but they got back to sewing. Thank you, Wanda!
The third day each sewist chose a beach-themed embroidery design and their own thread colors to create a beach towel. Each also completed a stuffed animal made from strips of fabric they sewed together, quilted and cut to form the body. A group of US cheerleaders stopped in and took the time to check out all the projects. They seemed pretty impressed.
This was our most successful, largest and FUN Kids Camp ever!
