Please share these with all the moms you know and the dads and the bonus moms , friends , friends of friends - we’re hoping to not just make your day, but our little besties day too!

❤️ Toys age ranges are from 3/4-10/12 but we don’t judge , come see us, share something positive about your school year and/or bring a report card to brag about ANYthing - and I mean anything - we’re not looking at your GPA here … you should see me help my 5th grader with their math homework 🤣❤️

No report card- it’s okay just come share with us and you will not be turned away ( while supplies last) from our toy Bin at the cash wrap.

I can’t believe it’s been 10 months already, but I want to celebrate one of the best months for our small businesses back here in the reclaimed room! I’ve been working hard on figuring out ways to make this hidden gem more known, and the vibe evolves every day… but to watch so many new people who may not necessarily be in for “Rise” but love a slower non fast fashion pace with some of the coolest finds…

If you’ve ever been to Main Street in placerville you know, the vintage and thrift is such a cool experience .. and being able to bring that here, has been so healing in different ways for me!

Based off of the number of overstimulated Mom’s who have frantically walked into Rise before our 12 noon open time because I’ve left the door unlocked for deliveries and the awkward oh shoot you’re not open faces as I’m knee deep in chaos and completely unaware of my surroundings 🤣 I have made the decision to open at 10am AND stay open later til 7pm for my workin girlies..

Truth be told I changed the hours to noon open time because the burnout I was facing doing so many things alone I literally had to find a way to save my mental health- but guess what?? I hired a store manager AND an assistant manager and for once in my life asked for help and wait for it…. Let them help me 🧍🏼‍♀️🤣

So with the small over share said- we have a team here that’s ready for your overstimulated self and can hold space for whatever that means for you and the day, while this says summer- our hopes that the local support and efforts of pursuing online growth as well will provide in a way to keep us not only staffed but open longer hours 🫶🏼❤️

When not only you but your store manager have ADHD and may have miscommunicated on scheduling times but don’t remember AND apparently your kids have minimum days all week 🤸🏼‍♀️🤣

Poor .dee.que came to restock her section only to realize she would be tapped in as an employee on the sales floor 🤣 but when you’re not only a mom but a small biz owner - you get it 🙌🏻

So when I say we are a safe non judgmental space here I mean it, because we’re all a mess whether it’s in motherhood or just daily life… and if you’re shopping in store today- our greeter just graduated pre school so be sure to congratulate her as she asks you 17 times if you have an order for pick up because that’s her fav thing to do….

And my kids… well if you here me yelling at my twins to stop fighting - just know it’s said with love and maybe a little bit of overstimulation 🤣

Some of you have been rolling with me since my much smaller shack of a space where try ons were in a musty carpeted closet that doubled as my kids napping area and usually had you straddling boxes and hangers 🤣

Been Making things around here a lot more “ Rise Vibe’d” for ya, our fitting rooms been getting a makeover that includes ….. air conditioning 👀🤣

New mirrors with adjustable lighting for all the selfies 😘 and working on some custom angel wings to go under the rise sign for another photo opp 😍

What do we think?!

Yes it’s true and it’s a a toxic trait of mine I’m trying to break alongside the whole body dysmorphia side of losing over 60 pounds and still thinking it’s okay to keep wearing the same sizes 🧍🏼‍♀️😂

The amount of times people have heard me say I don’t have anything to wear… in which the response is YOU OWN A BOUTIQUE! But one of the biggest hurdles I’ve had to heal through? My broke girl magic mindset… I built rise with everything I had- 8 years ago. Opened as a single mom to three and 4 bucks in the bank… and I refused to take things from the sales floor because if I could sell it and make a dollar I should…

It’s STILL something I struggle with! And yes I know it’s bad for business because I’m a walking brand. lol I’m TRYING!

Anyways- these Judy blue shorts are incredible and a ton of long crop tees are heading to the site launching tonight at 8pm! Hand cut by us! And yes mine is like one inch shorter than the ones on the site , are you surprised? lol

Trust me asking a homeless man to come help me at my store as he held a looking for work sign in the middle of a busy intersection wasn’t something I wanted to do… but when your gut / God tells you to do something I’m the kind of person that doesn’t think twice 🤷🏼‍♀️

Yesterday Hector showed up after a month of wondering if he would come back after our first two days together which landed on his birthday …. I got him a cupcake and made him make a birthday wish in which he responded “ I don’t do wishes that’s witch craft” so I rephrased and said make a birthday prayer lol and he prayed and blew the out 🥹😂

Yesterday TWO different people came in to meet him who work at housing programs, and I’m pretty confident we will find out today which one he will be able to go to for support, and honestly the way my summer shipment lineup is for today and Monday- God knew I needed his help just as much! lol

Thank you for being here, thank you for supporting me enough to be able to be a light even when it doesn’t make sense.

He’s back! After a couple set backs and a broken phone he made it back to the store, and the list I had made from the original post has been misplaced in my office 😫

If you had work for Hector, any services including housing and a church that could provide a ride to church etc please let me know! He will be here working and then I’m sending him to the social services building to try and get his phone replaced.

Hector is clean / sober and loves God, he’s not local and has been houseless for about a year, he’s a great worker, kind and respectful!

Hopefully I can help him get to a shelter etc ❤️
