We have have been busy sewing and working to get ready for several festivals coming up that Stitch & Laser Co. will be at!! Here’s a rundown of what we have coming up for spring!

April 18- Higher Ed Center Morganton - Southern Touch Craft Show 10-4 lots of great talented craft vendors and coffee truck on site!

April 25- Valdese Spring Craft Show at The Temple Field. (at The Old Rock School) 9-4 Always a great selection of vendors for shopping!

May 2- Spruce Pine Craft Stroll- Cross St Commerce Center 9-3 (beautiful venue and great selection of vendors)

May 9- Spring in the Park- Baird Park Sawmills 3-9 pm (food trucks, crafts, music, kids activities!)

May 23- The Farmers Daughter Strawberry Festival 2180 Friendship Church Rd Taylorsville 10-4 ( fresh strawberries and great selection of vendors!)

May 28-30 Feels Like Summer Festival -LeConte Center Pigeon Forge TN
10-7 Thursday, Fri and Saturday! Make it a weekend in Pigeon Forge with so many things to do and a huge indoor and outdoor family friendly festival

Meet the Creator Behind Stitch & Laser Co. —
✨Cheryl Goossens✨

If you’ve ever visited our booth or picked up one of our leather or laser-crafted pieces… now you get to meet the heart behind it all. 💛

Her creative journey has taken many forms over the years. She’s built several small businesses, explored different products, and followed her passion through multiple chapters — each one shaping what Stitch & Laser Co. is today. One of her biggest leaps was opening The Valdese Stitchery, a storefront she proudly ran in Valdese, NC for 8 years, serving the community with custom creations and personalized work.

But her story goes far beyond crafting…

👶 Labor & Delivery Nurse for most of her career
🤱 Certified Lactation Consultant
💗 Hospice care RN
👩‍⚕️ Still working PRN in L&D today

Her life’s work has always centered around caring — whether for families, newborns, or the people who bring home her handmade pieces.

Today, her passion has evolved into:
👜 100% genuine leather goods (often crafted from repurposed furniture leather)
🪵 Laser + woodworking creations like ornaments, accessories, décor & more

She’s a proud mom of five, supported by a loving husband and a big family cheering her on from NY to FL. And now she’s stepping into an exciting new chapter — growing Stitch & Laser Co. online while still showing up at your favorite craft shows, fairs, and festivals. ✨
