Heart On My Sleeve

Heart On My Sleeve Heart On My Sleeve Apparel are t-shirts that help put first generation kids through college. Based out of Tampa Bay Florida, SPREAD THE LOVE!!!

I started Heart On My Sleeve as emblematic of my vulnerabilities as an ordinary human finding my way in this world; it is my way of being honest and remaining faithful at the same time. I fiercely believe that Love is indeed greater than Fear and if we feed what we love, we can starve what we are afraid of until it withers and disappears. As I was going through my 200 hour yoga teacher certificati

on, my idea of Heart On My Sleeve began to take shape, and I realized I wanted to do something with the proceeds of these shirts born of love. In Spring 2015, a huge dream of mine will come to fruition. First Origin will begin awarding college scholarships to deserving kids who otherwise could not afford to go. Proceeds from HOMS will help fund First Origin. I was the first in my family to graduate from high school and go to college. There were many wonderful people who championed me along the way whom I still carry with me. Heart On My Sleeve is a representation of those mentors and how relentlessly they supported me loving myself and shining my light into this world. It is with great hope in my heart that by all of us wearing our hearts on our sleeves we will contribute to the bright lives of kids in our community. We're going to make a difference, we're going to help kids, and that is going to be amazing. From my heart to yours,

Moki

Albert Einstein "All it takes for evil to prosper is for good men to stand by and do nothing." is what I've been (mis)quoting for years now.

It's not that some things don't come incredibly easy to us, it's just that the things we have to work really hard for we tend to appreciate a wee bit more.

This is a very special shirt for me. Heart On My Sleeve is a very "expected miracle" for me because we will be helping kids do something wonderful with their lives.

Heart On My Sleeve are shirts made from love. Proceeds from all will benefit First Origin, helping first generation kids go to college.

Life is hard and sharp and it hurts, but there are some who wear it lightly, and mindfully, and with class, and are frank yet wise yet light, and if our recipe is right our household shall be one of the hardy and cheerful ones.

Life is often lonely and sad and unfair, but if we are lucky we shall work hard and earn our luck, and when we are hit broadside we shall return fire as we sail away with the wind at our backs, and trouble shall find it is bored with us.

This is exactly what everyday love looks like!

When you think about how love is portrayed, you probably think about the first child being born or a wedding day.

One day Buddha was walking through a village. A very angry and rude young man came up to him and began insulting him.
"You have no right to be teaching others!!!" he shouted.
"You are as stupid as everyone else. You are nothing but a fake!!"
Buddha was not upset by these insults. He just smiled. The man insulted him again and again but the only reaction he could get back from the Buddha was a
smile and silence. Finally he stomped his feet and left cursing.
The disciples were feeling angry and one of the them couldn’t keep quiet and asked the Buddha, “Why didn’t you reply to the rude man?”
The Buddha replied, “If someone offers you a gift, and you refuse to accept it, to whom does the gift belong?”
“Of course to the person who brought the gift,” replied the disciple. “That is correct,” smiled the Buddha
