Mz. Barber's Woolen Blanket Creations I create woolen blanket dresses tailored to your unique fit and specifications. I made my first blanket dress when my daughter graduated from high school.

I always admired the Pendleton dresses, but could not afford the cost. Since I had several Pendleton blankets, I decided to make one --really, how hard could it be? I've seen dresses in stores and trading posts and I thought this is not difficult at all. Since that time I have made many dresses beginning with family and friends then onto others. I have made dresses for graduates as far as Tucson a

nd Albuquerque and across the Navajo Nation. I've also made dresses for special occasions. I do not use a pattern and am not familiar with customary sizes. I make my dresses based on the client's specific size and height. On average, it takes about 6 to 8 hours to make a dress from start to finish with a couple of fittings. I enjoy sewing and have been for over 40 years! In addition to blanket dresses, I also am a seamstress and quilter. I am a full-time educator and sew primarily on the weekends.
