What kind of story does your camo tell? When I created Geist Belleau Husk™️ Camo all I could think about was my childhood days in the duck bling with dad and my younger brother . I will never forget those mesmerizing moments listening to dad on his duck calls. I studied his technique with precision wanting to sound exactly like him. I will also never forget when he passed me his duck call for the first. Being young and naive I assumed I was going to sound just like him. I eagerly let out my first quack which sounded more like a fart. Excitement quickly changed to frustration as I totally underestimated the complexity of a duck call but my desire to figure it out burned inside me. My dad told me about his childhood when he learned how to do it from his dad. Stories I’ll never forget and pointers I plan to pass down to my boys. Now that I am older I appreciate those moments even greater & am amazed that I get to carry duck hunting techniques and traditions that was passed down from my dad, from his dad, and his dad before him.
Geist Belleau Husk™️ Camo tells the story of where duck hunting began in my family & where it is still done to this day. Belleau which translates to “Bella Aqua” means beautiful water. Named after my great grandfather’s, August Busch Sr., farm in the Missouri bottom land with acres of flooded corn fields, rest lakes, and ponds along the great Mississippi River. It is a migratory bird sanctuary with a thriving ecosystem thanks to many generations of exceptional conservations.
Duck hunting and beer are in my blood so when I created Geist Belleau Husk™️Camo I wanted to do it in a similar fashion my ancestors would have. Like a traditional German beer with a new school twist. I brewed up this camo using ingredients from the past to honor my family’s tradition while combining ingredients from the future to pursue innovation. I just knew that I had to respect the past and pursue the future.
I am honored to be able to keep family tradition, legacy, & passion for the outdoors alive through Geist Belleau Husk™️Camo. Prost!
