tiger owl designs focuses on creating original clothing that engages its wearer with community and the environment. all of our creations are hand printed in our yurt using 100% eco-friendly water-based inks. summer kemick (owner) is a ventura native who studied art in new york city. she finds inspiration from our beautiful earth and continues to search for ways to better her art and lower her carb

on footprint. wes dalton (co-founder) is a ventura musician involved in the local music scene. he enjoys hiking, biking, surfing, skating and everything else awesome that california has to offer.

Hey hi it’s me, Summer! I’m the person behind TIGEROWL. I’ve been trying to put into words what TIGEROWL is these days, since so many people ask me. The answer is: it’s many things 🫣
👖 NATURAL FIBER CLOTHING yes, I still make and sell my line of natural fiber styles, made right here in my little midtown studio! Because I sew most things to order, it takes at least a few weeks usually for me to ship!
🧵 SEWING CLASSES our Intro to Sewing classes continue to sell out, which makes me so excited that our little community is so interested in learning this handy craft! We continue to explore adding other workshops, like sewing your own pants, sewing with zippers, mending, etc! Also don’t sleep on our Open Studio sessions, a place where you can come work on a project of your choice with our guidance!
🪡 MENDING anytime I am in studio, you can drop off mending to me! It may take me a few weeks to finish it, but I do a high quality fix on your garment to extend the life of it! I especially love working on denim!
✨ CUSTOM WORK need a specific curtain or throw pillow? Or even a custom quilted coat?? I love making custom pieces, so contact me if you have an idea for something you want made and we can see if we can make it happen!

Had the best weekend, my uncle took us out to Anacapa Island and back. It was foggy and cold all day but so nice to be out on the channel for Mother’s Day weekend. More time outside, please! But for now, we’ll resume our normal TIGEROWL content.
