I’m deeply saddened by the loss of my beautiful first cousin by blood (sister by choice) Brenda Cooper Jackson. She was a beautiful person inside and out. We grew up together from the time we were toddlers. We grew up in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky swinging on grapevines, playing in the creeks. We didn’t have a lot growing up, but we were so rich and so blessed in other ways. We had the best childhoods and the best parents anyone could ask for. She was one of three triplets and the kindest and sweetest person. She also grew up with 2 other sisters and 3 brothers . We all had our kids together and shared so much. She was one of my last links to home. It was our yearly tradition to take food and meet at her house during the Woolly Worm Festival and all of us eat and visit and enjoy family! Any time I went home she’d always have a pot of coffee and something to eat. She always made sure you had something to eat! It’s hard for me , knowing that I can never go home again and it feel like home. Home is where the heart is and a big chunk of my heart is gone. She is so loved and she will be missed! Prayers for all of our family. She was the glue. I’ve hunted and hunted and cannot find this photo of she and I all dressed up heading to the Shriners Ball at Natural Bridge several years ago . She was so much fun and never met a stranger. Everyone loved her!
