Wearing shoes that actually fit isn’t just about comfort—it affects your whole body. Here’s why it matters:

1. Prevents foot problems
Shoes that are too tight or too loose can lead to blisters, calluses, bunions, and even deformities over time.

2. Reduces pain (feet, knees, back)
Poor fit throws off your alignment. That can lead to pain not just in your feet, but up through your knees, hips, and lower back.

3. Improves balance and stability
Well-fitting shoes keep your foot properly supported, helping prevent trips and falls—especially important as we get older.

4. Protects joints and muscles
Good fit helps distribute pressure evenly, reducing strain on joints and muscles with every step.

5. Helps prevent long-term conditions
Bad footwear can contribute to issues like plantar fasciitis, hammertoes, and worsening arthritis symptoms.

Orthotics help your golf swing by improving what happens from the ground up:
• Better balance: Keeps your feet stable for more consistent contact
• Smoother weight transfer: Helps you shift weight properly → more power
• Improved alignment: Feet support better knee, hip, and spine positioning → straighter shots
• Less fatigue: More comfort means your swing stays solid through all 18 holes
• Injury prevention: Reduces stress on feet, knees, and lower back

Bottom line: Orthotics create a stable base, leading to more consistency, power, and accuracy in your swing.

Adding a Lift to One Shoe for Leg Length Discrepancy

Leg length discrepancies may be present from birth or develop due to surgery or a broken leg. The exact difference must be measured by a doctor or physical therapist. We do not estimate lift height. Without an expert measurement, a lift that is too high or too low can create additional problems.

What to Consider

A lift should only be added to new shoes.
The modification is attached to that pair and cannot be transferred to another shoe.

Once you begin wearing a lift, you should use it consistently.
This includes finding a house slipper that can accommodate a lift.

Two Ways to Attach a Lift

Split Sole Method
If the shoe’s sole is thick enough, it can be split so the tread remains even on both shoes.
Note: Cutting the sole slightly reduces the lifespan of the shoe.

Stacked Lift Method
The lift is added to the outside of the sole.
This method does not compromise the shoe’s structure.
