Rachel Skyman is Founder and Designer of IsleField, an American sweater brand. The collection is known for its novel pattern work, and classic, yet relevant sweaters, scarves, and tops. Born in Brooklyn, New York and Raised in Panama, the Republic of Panama, Rachel graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design with a degree in apparel design, and then moved to New York to pursue a career in the fashion industry. She worked in design for some of the leaders in American Fashion, including Ralph Lauren, Lilly Pulitzer, and Tommy Hilfiger. A few years later, she started renovations on her 1911 Carriage House ā€œIsleFieldā€ which inspired the branding for the business. She launched IsleField in 2014 at a well-known boutique called ā€œPatricia Adamsā€ in Haverford, Pennsylvania. As Founder and Creative Director of IsleField Rachel Skyman employs her creative edge and love for texture to inform all things IsleField from its design, development, and careful curation of versatile styles to the look and feel of the site and mobile apps. Rachel lives just outside of Philadelphia along the Main Line with her husband, two daughters, and new puppy.

I hear this often. I consider fit, comfort, and care as I design each piece.
So I allow the product to speak for itself.
I hand customers a sweater to feel so they can select what they like.

At IsleField, we take hand-feel seriously.
Itā€™s the first thing we choose ā€” before color, before silhouette, before anything else.

When working with natural fibers, thereā€™s always a balance.
A tighter twist in the yarn can reduce pulling over time ā€”
but too tight, and you lose what matters most:
softness, ease, the way a piece settles into your life.

January is the moment to selectā€”

Hello 2026, and hello to you šŸ¤

As the new year begins, I wanted to take a quiet moment to reach out and say thank youā€”for being here, for supporting IsleField, and for believing in what weā€™re building together.

This season has me reflecting deeply on our roots and where weā€™re headed next. IsleField has always been about thoughtful design, quality materials, and pieces that feel like homeā€”things you reach for again and again. In 2026, our goal is to return even more intentionally to that foundation: timeless sweaters, meaningful textures, beautiful everyday goods, and designs that feel personal, lived-in, and lasting.

Weā€™re dreaming up new categories, refining our collections, and allowing ourselves room to grow creativelyā€”while staying true to the slow, considered process that defines us. Itā€™s a year of editing, clarity, and expansion with purpose.

More than anything, this brand exists because of you. Your support allows us to keep designing with heart, curiosity, and care. Weā€™re incredibly grateful to step into this next chapter together.
