Lisa finished her new beach bag.. well her and her grandson, Julian’s, new beach bag. Julian loves animals and was particularly drawn to the sea turtle print. It’s made from a premium Northcott Fabrics canvas fabric panel and lined with a 100% cotton coordinating print from the Coral Reef collection. She ironed fusible fleece to the lining instead of the canvas to give it some structure. The incorporated tag was embroidered with Julian and Gaga. Gaga is Julian’s name for Lisa.. he was never able to get “GamGam” down pat. 😂 Instead of just sewing the label on the bag, Lisa decided to make it a pocket on the inside to organize smaller items. We think it turned out great and love the color palette! 🐢🐠🐟🐡🌊

Happy April 1st! Today’s a beautiful day to take a ride to The Pin Cushion and see our new licensed prints! Some of these include Marvel heroes, Nightmare Before Christmas, Charlie Brown, Minnie Mouse, Minecraft, and Bluey. Everything is 44” cotton prints, besides the bright blue background Bluey print which is polyester fleece.

Hopefully everyone is going to see our very own sewing instructor, Shaun, in the Cumberland Players performance of “The Importance of being Earnest” by Oscar Wilde.
