Not just any blanket, THE blanket that goes everywhere and is used for everything. How did “The Mini B” get its name? It all started when my grandson was about six months old and my daughter asked me to make a quilt for him. My mother had made a much-loved blanket for my daughter when she was a baby, and so she wanted her son to have a Grandma-made quilt too. Of course I agreed, even though I had

never really made a quilt before. I had learned to sew from my mom when I was a young girl, so I had plenty of sewing experience, but this was a whole new adventure. We looked and looked for a pattern and but couldn’t find one we liked so we sketched it out until we got the perfect design. Little did we know how much he would love that quilt. As soon as he could talk he started calling it his “B” even though he could say “blanket.” The B quickly went from a play mat to favorite thing for holding when going to sleep, having in the car seat, having with his bottle - you name it the B was involved. This little boy is now six years old and he still loves his B. He’s now on The B – version 2, because he wore it right out! When his little brother came along he also got a special Grandma-made quilt, but this time there was a matching mini “B” for the car, for carrying around the house, etc. etc. He goes everywhere with it! Each of my grandchildren has a special Grandma-made quilt and a matching mini B. My niece was so impressed by the specialness of the B, that her new son has a B and several matching mini Bs. He loves them just as much! A Mini B is a great security blanket, doll blanket, lovey, or whatever your child imagines it could be. Why have just any security blanket when you can have a unique, sweet little Mini B, made with love by a real Grandma?
