My page is about making quilts of the Morning Star. My people have taken the Lone star and made it a part of our culture, we sew them up and give them away as gifts. Receiving a star quilt is an honor, as it signifies our place in the circle. Making Star quilts has been a part of my life since I was about 19 yrs. I watched my old mother-in-law making them and learned that way. I'm a grandmother my

self now and the best way for me to give back for all the circle has given me is to teach how to do this to everyone who wants to learn. Waste', our word for 'good' is how I would identify with the Morning Star Quilt.
