When I started a business that employs people with disabilities, I learned really quickly that just because something is easy for me to do does not mean that it will be the same for other people. Everyone has a different skill set and Iโ€™ve had to find ways that allow our diverse staff to contribute.

Discovering DTF transfers was a game changer and has allowed more of our staff to help with our packaging and products that we make and sell.

Weโ€™ve been using a local supplier here on Maui for a while now and are really happy with everything weโ€™ve tried Manafacture

For our mainland folk weโ€™ve tried Ninja Transfers | Custom Apparel & Products and theyโ€™re great too.

Chris and I took a Waymo today and while it wasnโ€™t fully accessible for us, it still made me think about independence. About accessibility. About how much energy disabled people spend navigating systems that werenโ€™t built with them in mind.

Chris has always loved technology, and I sometimes wonder if part of that is because of the doors it opens for him โ€” the ways it can make the world feel a little bigger, more accessible, more possible.

And beyond all of the larger conversations happening right now around advancing technology, this brought him a huge amount of joy. It genuinely felt like watching one of his dreams come to life in real time.
