If you've been collecting nips, we want to remind you that tomorrow is the last day! Drop off your nips at the store so we can count them up! TY to everyone for picking up our beautiful area ❤❤❤

Pick up nips as many as you can while walking or running.

Take picture once a week of your haul and tag your favorite shoe brand that we carry (Brooks, Hoka, Topo, Saucony, New Balance, Mount to Coast, Mizuno).

Each week begins with Sunday, so the weeks are:
May 11-16
May 17-23
May 24-30
May 31- June 2

You don’t need to post ALL the nips each time. Just a random picture of your daily haul once a week. Make sure you tag us and the shoe company that you hope to win. Sunday is the first day of the week. So this week post one. Next week (starting 5/17) post one, and so on and so forth.

RUN CLUB TONIGHT!

Full frontal assault on the lovely, unsuspecting Vanilla Bean!

Ok, actually the plan is to run 3-4 miles in the gorgeous Matunuck area of South Kingstown, followed by ice cream at the Original Vanilla Bean. Run Club Mom says to bring a sweatshirt in case it gets chilly after!

6pm: Meet in the parking lot closest to the beach/playground/pavillion

Train for the 10 mile Blessing of the Fleet Road Race in Narragansett with the beginner-focused training plan that will get you to the start injury-free! Runners receive on-course training, injury screening, product samples, a race day shirt, a gift certificate to the store, and many other perks!

Huge congrats to everyone who toed the line at the Blazin' Battle 10k yesterday! You showed up, and so did the heat (which is only right for a race with the word blazing in it). The next race in the RI Grand Prix is the Gaspee Days 5k on June 13th, at 9:30 am. Hope to see you there!

Announcing Blessing for Beginners 2026!!

We secured some guaranteed entries for participants in our Blessing for Beginners program. The program (bib included) costs $225. If you do not need a bib, the fee is $155.

So this year is different as we have two options: one for those who bought a bib during the registration period, and one for those who missed out.

Both options include the following:

8 week training program
1:1 meet up/evaluation with coaches
2 coached group runs per week plus optional strength program (completed independently)
1 team race shirt or singlet
Weekly giveaways (running socks, gels, hydration, etc)
$25 gift certificate to Wakefield Running Company
Discount on shoe purchase during the training session

Kick off meeting: May 23, 8am at the store
All registrants must attend the kick off meeting to complete registration, sign our waiver, and pay.

We have seven bibs left so if you are considering it don't delay. There will be a waitlist in case there are those who don't attend the kick off meeting and forfeit their entry.

If you didn't know, our Nip the Nips contest is up and running!! Collect nips now through June 2. Once a week, post a pic and tag us AND your favorite shoe company (of the brand we carry). The person with the most nips wins, as long as they have posted 4 pics by the end of the contest. Make sure to save the nips because we need to count them. And yes, we will dispose of them.
People ask, Keith, where do we put the nips when we are running? Wear shorts with big pockets. Wear a vest. Carry a little bag. Put them in your shirt sleeve. Be creative. You can do it.
Now go get 'em!

This Sunday is the Blazin' Battle Against Brain Cancer 10k in Greenville! This amazing fundraiser honors a firefighter who lost his life to glioblastoma, and it brings awareness to the disease and those who are fighting the fight of their lives.
