At 21 years old, I stepped out with nothing but faith, grit, and a vision that my family’s name would mean something lasting. I sacrificed. I poured my heart and soul into Aydell Lane. I tied my identity to it. I loved it like it was my baby—because in so many ways, it was.
Through long nights, hard decisions, and seasons when it would’ve been easier to quit, I held on. And by God’s grace, this little dream grew into something bigger than I ever imagined. From being listed in 225 to celebrating incredible milestones, clients, and friendships, Aydell Lane became a part of me and of so many others.
But here’s what I’ve learned: when you pour that much of yourself into something, you eventually realize your worth isn’t just tied to your business—it’s bigger. Your identity is not only in what you build, but in who you are when everything shifts. That realization has been one of the hardest, but also the most beautiful lessons of my life.
At one point, I thought I’d be handing over Aydell Lane for someone else to carry forward. But when that didn’t go through, I knew it wasn’t failure—it was redirection. God was simply showing me that this story wasn’t finished yet. I am still the owner of Aydell Lane, and now we’re pivoting into something I’ve wanted all along: Aydell Lane Suites—the first luxury rental suites in Walker, Louisiana.
We have property managers in place handling everything, and I’m beyond excited that this space will continue to thrive in the heart of Walker. The most meaningful part to me is that it still carries my family’s name—because legacy matters. And now, instead of just my vision, this space can become the home where many visions grow. I want to see others thrive here, start their own businesses, and create legacies of their own.
This journey has taught me that entrepreneurship is not about never falling—it’s about learning to pivot, to shake it off, and to keep moving. It’s about sacrifice, growth, and legacy. And I hope my story can be a testimony to anyone building their own dream: sometimes what feels like an ending is really the setup for something greater.
Aydell Lane is back—not just as a boutique, but as the first luxury space rental suites in Walker. And this isn’t the final chapter—there’s so much more to come. God is not done.
With gratitude & excitement,
