Quick update on our girl! A few weeks ago we decided to try a different type of chemo because what we were doing simply wasn’t working. We were given 2 weeks of chemo that we can give Remi at home. And we are happy to share that it has made a world of difference!! The rash and bumps on her belly look so much better! The doctor says that they basically have kind of “died off” and what is left is similar the a blood blister.
We are also working to get Remi off of the steroids because it has really affected her bladder. She isn’t able to hold it all the time. We should get test results back to make sure it isn’t some sort of infection. But fingers crossed it’s nothing serious and we can fix that by simply getting off of steroids.
But for now, she is on chemo that we get to give her at home and it’s 3 times a week. She will basically stay on this until it stops working! Finally, we’ve got her on something that is giving us results! Yay!!

Hello all, we have a bit of an update on your girl. Today she was supposed to get her 7th chemo treatment. For the first 6 treatments, we had been doing them every week. We decided to try to go 2 weeks before the 7th treatment, and that was supposed to be today. Unfortunately, in the 2 weeks since her last treatment, the mass on her belly has grown. This tells us that the chemo isn’t doing its job.
We had a discussion with the doctor and decided that we aren’t going to continue with the chemo treatment we have been doing.
We were given a couple of options and have decided to try a different type of chemo to see if we can slow the growth of her mass. Luckily we will be able to give her this chemo at home, so no visits for at least 2 weeks. After the 2 week trial period we will see if there is any changes with the mass and then go from there.
This news is absolutely not at all what we wanted. But right now we are trying to keep our hopes high and fingers crossed that the change in chemo will help. Our girl is a fighter and has been such a trooper through all of this, and we are committed to do everything we can to keep her with us as long as we can.
We can’t thank you all enough for reaching out and all of the donations. We wouldn’t be able to do the things Remi needs without you!
