We aren’t going to lie guys, 2023 has been rough.
Between moving our shop and changing business models, to being a full time care giver and a mother, it has been very difficult to give MKT the love and attention it requires to maintain the level of excellence we pride ourselves on.
In the past 6 years we have conquered every hurdle thrown our way and have stayed dedicated to making MKT work - but sometimes you have to know when to walk away.
As most of you know, Karen is taking care of Tony full time as his battle with ALS has progressed. We had high hopes that she would be able to do both, but understandably she’s needed more at home.
The memories we have created over the past 6 years as best friends running a business together will never be taken for granted. We created this company to spend time together and to be our “happy place” but at this time, our happy places are at home with the ones we love. Life responsibilities have taken over, and we have decided to prioritize our families, and the time we will never be able to get back. We love MKT, but if we aren’t able to give it the attention it deserves, it’s not fair to our customers to stay open while not being able to provide the quality of service we prided ourselves on.
In true MKT fashion, we plan on packing as many events into our last few days as possible. If you would like to shop the store one last time you can see us on:
💋 Ladies Night @ Blush on Nov. 10th from 7-9
💋 2nd Saturday @ MKT on November 11th from 10-3
💋 Pink Friday BAG SALE!!! (That’s right, we didn’t want to leave you all hanging without one more fill a bag sale) on Nov. 17th.
This decision has been extremely difficult and not made lightly, but at some point you gotta know that you can’t keep putting a band aid over a bullet hole. We love Warrensburg and our customers, and we hope that has been shown thorough out all of our locations through the years and the time and money we have invested into our downtown storefronts.
Thank you to our sisters and our biggest cheerleaders, who helped us keep going as long as we could.
Karen and Rachel ❤️
