First it was creating from home, then craft shows and rented spaces to consign my ‘stuff,’ and one day I found the perfect little building on 2nd Street to call Sherrie’s Stuff. That was the first storefront, and I remember I sat down after I officially opened for business and said to myself, “I’ll do this for TEN YEARS.” Since then Sherrie’s Stuff moved to 5th Street and is currently on Main in the old Rhodes Drug Store building, but it’s time to make one. more. move. As if the stars aligned - families growing, pursuing college degrees locally or away, moving, or just wanting to slow down and spend more time with ‘family’ - it seems to be the perfect time to ‘call it a day’ and announce that the doors will close by the end of March - almost TWELVE YEARS later! From home to Second to Fifth to Main… and now back home again. Sherrie’s Stuff will still be around, but in a different way - an Etsy shop and at Eva’s Alley, a little building my mother purchased in Manassas almost 40 years ago. (That chapter is still evolving.). In the meantime, there is a lot in the store that needs to go - furniture, display pieces, jewelry, beads, and other DIY ‘stuff’ - and by the weekend will be ready to go out the door! Excited about new beginnings!! #
