I started Katz Creations years ago, creating memory pieces: pillows, quilts, items that held meaning. Then life, school, and being intensely career-focused took over. I poured most of my energy into building my future, and sewing took a back seat.

If you asked me between 2010 and 2020 what I wanted to be when I grew up, I would’ve said a fashion designer. Now my answer might be President of the United States, but here’s a little secret: that fashion designer dream never actually went away.

I’ve always said that 2015 was a year that most taught me to be resilient, but 2025 comes pretty close. It was a year full of blessings, hard lessons, and plenty of things outside my control.

This year, I’m choosing what I can control and doing something for myself: going back to my roots and bringing my sewing machine back to school. Katz Creations is back, reimagined as an upcycling fashion space. I’m building something that feels aligned, creating on my own terms and giving clothes a second life with intention and purpose.
