Brazilian actress Theresa Fonseca walked down the aisle this April in a custom Givenchy Haute Couture gown, reawakening an iconic design that spans decades of fashion history.
This look debuted in the 1964 film My Fair Lady, worn by Audrey Hepburn in her iconic role as Eliza Doolittle. During his tenure at Givenchy, Alexander McQueen revisited Audrey Hepburn’s iconic ensemble for the House’s Fall/Winter 1997 Haute Couture collection, presenting a strikingly faithful reinterpretation complete with the dramatic headpiece, gloves, and opulent jeweled detailing.
