His aesthetic formed around finding balance between contemporary silhouettes and traditional hand-made tailoring. As a first generation Immigrant, Rafie spent the majority of his childhood in Iran where he loved traveling to the ancient provinces of Yazd, Isfahan and Shiraz. Despite growing up in Tehran, a more contemporary city, he loved driving to outskirts to take in the historic Persian architecture. Inspired by his brief stay at artistic center of Italy, Florence, Rafie fell in love with the refined Italian tailoring and soon he sought to polish his sewing technique by taking advance courses in tailoring, beading and embroidery; enhancing his Haute Couture and Atelier techniques. is a luxury womenswear atelier specialization in Made-to-Measure services. The atelier applies Haute Couture techniques in contemporary silhouettes, adapting and modernizing traditional hand-work. The Atelier takes pride in creating every garment in United States.
