I’ve been reflecting as our anniversary approaches. When I think about our store and what it represents for me, it was never just about a clothing store - it was much bigger than that…and it was much bigger than me.
Our store is a conduit for people like me and others to feel at home - inside and out.
For those who’ve been following our journey from the start, we organized many events and workshops in our space in Barracks Row during COVID (at one point, we were hosting them weekly). We walked the city in April 2021 and raised money for a non-profit in support of raising awareness for domestic violence. It was about impact and giving back.
Our space was a conduit for many individuals, creatives, and artisans (locally and globally) to share their work, gifts, and wisdom with others. Community was everything, while also revealing the values that matters most. At some point through our store moves, life got in the way where I forgot my why - the intention behind it all.
I asked myself -what should we do for our upcoming anniversary? My mind would say - let’s organize something to elevate the shopping experience for all, but my heart would say - that doesn’t fully align with my personal mission of why I even started the store to begin with.
This October and on, once a month, we will be hosting on event or workshop in our space - that touches on a wide array of subjects that ushers each of us toward growth, healing, and transformation - and most importantly, toward more joy and meaning.
Whether you’re interested or want to dive deeper into sustainable fashion, personal development, relationships, astrology, and/or financial strategies to create more freedom in your life - our events serve as a guiding light that supports you wherever you are in your journey.
