At Origei, we strive to bring the beauty, craftsmanship and intense industry that characterize Asian textile art, into the West with our scarves and socks. We are a team of three, splitting time and dreams between two continents. The label was inspired by our experience working with French haute couture ateliers, artisans making traditional woven and printed textiles in India and Japan, and the de

sign sensibilities born out of our lives in the West. We collaborate on the design and creation of every scarf and pair of socks as they are tied, pleated, folded, knotted, stitched, rolled, twisted, printed or embroidered, and dyed. Each meticulously crafted article is basically a manifesto against the onslaught of industrialized textiles. They will last beyond this year’s fashion or whim.
