The island of the Gods

While modern civilization was dismantling its relationship with the sacred, replacing ceremony with productivity and spiritual practice with content, the Balinese were doing what they have always done.

Waking before sunrise to make offerings. Stopping in the middle of the day to perform a ceremony that has been performed the same way for a thousand years.

Organizing an entire society around the understanding that the visible and invisible world are not two separate realities but one continuous living experience that must be tended to daily.

Every morning across Bali in homes, in shops, on street corners, in rice fields small woven palm leaf baskets appear. Filled with flowers, rice, and incense called Canang sari.

Made by hand every single morning as an act of gratitude to the living world. Not once a week. Not on special occasions but every single day.

Think about what that practice does to a person over a lifetime. To wake each morning with the first act of your day being a handmade expression of gratitude.

The Balinese understand reality as two inseparable dimensions.
Sekala the visible world and Niskala the invisible world.

And what is most profound, they do not consider one more real than the other. Both require equal tending. The Balinese do not retreat from the material world to access the spiritual.
They understand that the material world is spiritual.

That every stone, every tree, every body of water is inhabited by intelligence and deserves to be treated accordingly. When you build a civilization on the understanding that everything is sacred, everything becomes sacred.

They maintained harmony not through philosophy, but through daily practice. Through community. Through Tri Hita Karana, the three causes of wellbeing, harmony with God, harmony with people, and harmony with nature.

Harmony is not something you find. It is something you practice. Every single morning. Before the rest of the world wakes up.

The Greatest Strength Is Gentleness. Apache

We built entire cultures around the performance of strength. The hardness. The loudness. The unwillingness to bend.

But the Apache, a people whose warriors held off the entire United States military for decades, said something the modern world is still not ready to hear.

‘The greatest strength is gentleness.’

Because the hardest things break and the gentle things endure.

Water is gentle. And water carved the Grand Canyon. The reed bends in the storm while the oak breaks. The greatest warriors move with softness, while the beginner tenses and forces.

Gentleness is not the absence of strength.

It is strength so complete it no longer needs to prove itself.

The person who snaps and hardens is showing you exactly where their capacity ends. The person who remains soft in the face of hardness, who listens when everything in them wants to speak, is doing something that requires more discipline than any act of force ever could.

In a world full of hard things, the soft things last.

The water outlasts the stone every time.

Where It All Began.

Every brand has a first. A moment that makes it real. That proves what you are building is not just an idea but something people are willing to carry with them into their most sacred spaces.

This was mine.

Anton Mackey was my first ever paid custom design. And what moves me most, years later, is that this shirt is not sitting in a drawer somewhere collecting dust. It is still being worn and still showing up in ceremony circles. Still carrying the philosophy it was built to hold.
That is everything I hoped this work could be.

I worked with Anton to translate his philosophy into a single symbol.
His path is one of Devotion and Discipline.
Where devotion sparks the fire that awakens purpose and discipline is the steady breath that turns intention into embodied action.
At the center, the Fire Hawk emerging from the flames.
Rebirth. Vision. Spiritual awakening. A reminder that transformation does not happen to us. It happens because we dare to rise, again and again from whatever tried to reduce us to ash.

Anton does not just teach these things. He lives them.
Not for those who wear a philosophy as an aesthetic.
For those who are actually walking it.

The Spirit Of Kambo 
In the Amazon, the indigenous Matses, Mayoruna and Katukina peoples discovered something extraordinary in the skin of a small green tree frog.

They discovered a purge. 
The Giant Monkey Frog sits quietly on its branch in the jungle canopy and produces one of the most complex biological secretions ever studied by science. A cocktail of peptides with no equivalent anywhere in the natural world. 
But indigenous peoples did not need science to tell them this!  
They knew it through relationship. Through generations of watching and learning from the frog itself. 
Kambo does not heal you the way a pill heals you. It does not suppress. It does not mask. It does not manage.  
It purges. 
Everything that has accumulated in the body that should not be there like the stagnant energy, the unprocessed grief, the fear that settled into the tissue and never left Kambo purge it. 
The spirit of the Kambo frog does not offer comfort.
It offers something more valuable.  
In a world that teaches us to accumulate the frog teaches us the opposite.
Let it go. What remains is you.

The Lords Of The Plains

The Spanish said the name Comanche with awe and fear that few peoples in history have ever commanded. And for good reason.

For over 150 years the Comanche stopped the Spanish Empire, the Mexican government, the Republic of Texas, and the United States Army from crossing their land.

Stopped. By one people.

Before the horse arrived they were a small unremarkable band that nobody noticed. Then within a single generation they transformed into what historians call the greatest light cavalry force in the history of the world. Their warriors fired arrows at full gallop with devastating accuracy. Their children rode before they could walk. 🐎

They did not just adopt the horse. They became it.

When the US government realized they could not be beaten in open battle they killed the buffalo instead. 30 million reduced to fewer than 1,000 in less than a decade.

The Comanche were not defeated by military force but starved into submission.
And still they are here.

Nʉmʉnʉʉ, the People, never stopped fighting. The battlefield just changed.

Different weapons. Same spirit.

The people told they are finished are often the ones just getting started.

Some collaborations are not just creative. They are ceremonial. 
This one began with a shared understanding, that the plant and animal medicines of the Peruvian jungle deserve to be honored with the same depth and intention they carry in ceremony. 
Every symbol in this Shipibo inspired design was chosen with intention. Here is what lives within it:
🌿 Grandmother Ayahuasca — the master plant teacher of the Amazon. The medicine that dissolves the boundary between the self and the sacred and shows you what you most need to see.
🐸 Kambo — the healing secretion of the Giant Monkey Frog. Used by Amazonian peoples for centuries to purge what no longer belongs physically, emotionally and spiritually.
🌿 Mama Coca — sacred to Andean and Amazonian peoples for thousands of years. A gentle, grounding life force that sustains, nourishes, and connects.
🍃 Chacruna — the visionary leaf. The activating partner of Ayahuasca without which the medicine could not see. A reminder that the most powerful things often work in relationship.
🌿 Sacred To***co — Mapacho — The original sacred plant. Used in ceremony across the Amazon as a protector, a cleanser, and a direct line of communication with the spirit world.
🌸 Bobinsana — the heart opener. A flowering water plant used by Shipibo healers to soften what has hardened. To bring tenderness back to people who have been carrying too much for too long.
🐆 The Jaguar — the apex guardian of the Amazon. In Amazonian cosmology the Jaguar does not just protect — it sees. It moves between worlds.

🐍 The Cosmic Serpent — In Amazonian vision the serpent represents the double helix of creation itself — transformation, rebirth, and the infinite intelligence woven into the fabric of all living things.
