This Sunday May 3! Our monthly mini art fair is always a highlight and this line up is no exception. We’re hosting four local artists specializing in a diverse mix of mediums and themes. Swing by the shop between 12 and 4 to browse originals and prints, along with the usual treasure trove of vintage on the main floor.

About the artists:
🍊 Arham (.art) is a DMV-based artist whose work is inspired by a love of florals and whimsical imagination. She sells hand-painted acrylic and oil originals as well as prints, designed to bring a burst of color and culture into your home.
🥑 Snobby Ceramics (.ceramics) is a Black-owned, small-batch homeware design studio based in Washington, D.C., focused on functional ceramics.
🍒 Ariana () sells whimsical mixed-media prints, postcards, and stickers inspired by the vibrant colors, textures, and needlework of her Puerto Rican and Mexican heritage.
🍄‍🟫 Stranger Goods () makes funky, dreamy, and joyful stained glass art to brighten up your walls and windows.

Have you always admired the framed insects at GGV and been curious about how it all works? Come behind the convex glass with Ren of .shop to learn everything you ever wanted to know about insects, then learn how to prepare and preserve a butterfly and take home your very own framed specimen!

We’ll start the class with background on entomology, the ethics and sustainability of insect art, and information on the insects you’ll pin during the class. Then you’ll learn how to pin your very own insect and all the steps involved. The insect will need to dry for about a week, then you can pick them up. Ren will place your insect in a Riker box for ease of transport and display.

All supplies are provided, including four different butterflies to choose from.

This event starts at 7:00 pm and will last about two hours.

Tickets are required and limited. Find them in my bio/at garlicgirlvintage.com/tickets.
