When we purchased our shop 19 years ago,
we had a dream of what we thought
our perfect quilt shop would look like.
It would be helpful, friendly and everything
that we loved about shops that we had visited.
Believe us when we say that we visited
a lot of shops around the country and
we knew a good one when we saw one!
So we started out with that goal and we would
like to think that we have achieved every
bit of that and more over the years.
Considering the number of customers who
are so very unhappy that we are retiring,
we believe that many of you agree.
But as satisfying as our 19 years
together with you have been,
it is time for us all to move on to
our next adventure.
Everyone asks us what we will miss.
Easy peasy! We will miss all of you!
You have all become our friends over the years
as we have seen each other through hard times
and happy times, shared ups and downs and
made memories in classes, retreats and at quilt shows.
We have cried together, we laughed
together and the fellowship we have shared
with all of you has been a 19 year long quilting bee.
We couldn’t be more pleased to have shared
it with you.
We plan on keeping our two pages
open for now so that you can continue
to share your projects on
Friends of Peddler’s Way.
Our regular page will continue to have
information on retreats
that we will continue with as long
as we can keep filling them up,
as well as any information that is shared
with us about quilt shows.
We will keep trying to answer any
quilting questions that you have.
Just because the shop isn’t here
doesn’t mean that we can’t all
continue helping each other.
It has been our greatest pleasure
to serve the quilting community
of central Illinois and all of the visitors
that have come from across the country.
We cannot forget our wonderful,
valuable, loyal employees we have
considered our family over the years.
They have been an integral part of making
Peddler’s Way the quilt shop it became!
It has been a blessing to us in so many ways.
So, with that, thank you from
the bottom of our hearts for allowing
us to be “your” quilt shop for the past 19 years.
