A lot of you are probably wondering what's next and the truth is I dont have it all figured out.

As a woman with high-functioning ADHD and anxiety I want to do it all but dont want to end up in the same place that left me so badly burnt out.

I'm still recovering. I have some big dreams but honestly I'm learning to take things day by day and appreciate the little things. I dont want to perfectly plan out everything. Perfection isnt something to strive for and it's taking me quite awhile to unlearn that.

If you're looking for a sign, this is it.

Today marks 10 years in business.
10 years of Flippin' Fabulous.

I had always envisioned this day to be a huge, elaborate over the top celebration of all things fabulous, but I honestly dont want that. At all.

When I closed the store last summer, I was beyond burnt out. I was barely surviving- literally. (More on that later)

My biggest regret is not closing the store sooner because I missed out on SO much. I worked way too much and I was doing too much. I bent over backwards to make everyone else happy and completely lost myself in the process. The time lost is something I can never get back. No amount of money will ever be able to buy back time.

Fast forward to today and my life is a complete 180.

More time.
More energy.
More happiness.
More FREEDOM

I traded the hustle and hurry for peace and purpose and I am exactly where I need to be.

I completely reset my mindset.

Living life fully and intentionally.
Not rushing
Not people pleasing.
Never. Ever. Again.

Flippin' Fabulous is still going strong. Things just look a lot different than they used to, and I am 100% okay with that.

If you made it this far and can relate, I encourage you to do something outside of your comfort zone.

Get comfortable with being uncomfortable, for that's when the biggest changes occur.

You can't heal in the same place that's holding you back.

It's no surprise that some of America's wealthiest entrepreneurs are women and Wisconsin residents

One of my best selling designs was a sweatshirt that said "babies build empires". There's a reason it was so popular.

I'm thinking a man invented this day because us real women know that we deserve to celebrate ourselves every day 🎉

There are 5 Habits of Highly Successful People:
1. They are readers (If you want to be a leader, you have to be a leader)
2. They utilize time blocking (They learn to plan their day so their day doesn't plan them)
3. They know their health is their wealth (they take care of their mind, body, and spirit.
4. They never stop investing in themselves (They have mentors, attend seminars, and aren't afraid to spend money on their education)
5. They learn to ignore the haters. (The bigger you become, the bigger the target is on your back)

Yesterday, I shared a list of small business recommendations to this page and also in the Pick-Me-Up Project group page. When I went to invite some of those businesses to the group I noticed they had unfollowed me.

The old me would've gotten upset and immediately deleted them from the list.

The new me included them anyway and moved on with my day. I chose to be better.

My mindset made all the difference.

The Pick-Me-Up Project was created by Jessica Smith, owner of Flippin’ Fabulous LLC, in southeast Wisconsin and was strategically launched in honor of World Kindness Day on November 14th, 2025.

The purpose of this project is to establish meaningful connections between consumers and small businesses and encourages members to shop and support small businesses whenever possible to show support and increase awareness of the important role small businesses play in your community.

I encourage all participants to provide a curated gift basket or care package for someone who is struggling using items sourced from small businesses as a way to show support and provide encouragement. It’s a win-win scenario for all those involved.

In today’s challenging times, many consumers and small businesses are experiencing significant hardships which has lowered a sense of security and hope. I encourage you to help enhance the strength of your local community and the U.S. economy while supporting the American dream.

The ultimate goal is to do what you can using the resources you have to lift others up, spread kindness, connect with others, and create a sense of community.

I'll be attending this year's 100 Women Who Care event on March 11th and am looking forward to it.

Quick Summary: A gathering of local women (you do NOT have to own a business) rallying together to network and show support the community. Proceeds from the event will be donated to a local charity. You will be able to nominate a local non-profit to receive the proceeds. Such a simple gathering with a great cause.

Each woman who attends should plan on bringing a $100 (cash or check) *only $50 if you're under the age of 30)
