Why pay more for real leather when you can buy a leather belt, purse, or wallet from Walmart for $20? Because it's not real leather. The term "Genuine" leather is an industry trick to mislead people. Much like sawdust is compacted into cheap wooden furniture, "genuine" or "bonded" leather takes leather shavings and glues them to the back of plastic leather texture. This is why these products chip and break after little use. A good leather product will last generations if properly cared for. Always look for Top Grain or Full Grain leather.
