Hey everybody!

I know it’s been a long time since I’ve posted on here, but I just wanted to thank all of you for the the love and support you gave MegRose Creations. I took a break (which became a long hiatus) because of chronic shoulder and back issues that were exasperated by the process. Believe it or not, but tie dye is actually pretty labor intensive! At some point maybe I can bring it back in some capacity because I love it so much.
But, for now I’m focusing on other things including my project…Midwest Meg!

I’ve been posting content on Instagram more seriously since 2020, but I am now expanding. Last summer I got the amazing chance to collaborate with Travel Wisconsin which inspired me to dive into our amazing state. Also, since I have been working in promotional marketing for alcohol since 2019, of course another focus will be drinks.

Midwest Meg is going to be all about cocktail recipes, community events/activities, hidden gems, funky beverages and bites, local businesses, and more!

You can follow along here at Midwest Meg and my Instagram that’s linked to my page. Very soon, I’ll also have content on the website I’m building, Pinterest, and Tik Tok.

Thanks for reading my long post and again for your support.

Cheers! 🥂

Wishing everybody a happy and colorful day!

Bandhani (बांधानी) is the oldest known form of tie dye still practiced. It has been around since 4000 BCE in several regions of India. The term bandhani is derived from the Sanskrit root bandh which means to bind or to tie.

It is done by carefully raising and pinching cloth into a design, tying with thread, submerging into dye, and twisting and turning as desired. These tiny knots form intricate designs after it’s opened up, which can be decorated with ornate beads and jewels.

Traditionally, these garments are worn for important occasions such as weddings and religious ceremonies. Colors and designs in Bandhani convey different symbolic meanings, represent marital status, differentiate communities and more.
