I’m officially in favor of making 9/25 Dolly Parton Day. 💗

There are celebrities you enjoy, and then there are people you genuinely admire. Dolly has always been one of those people for me.

Of course there’s the music, the rhinestones, the big hair and the unmistakable personality—but what I love most about Dolly is the heart behind all of it. She has spent decades quietly and not-so-quietly doing good, giving back, encouraging people to be exactly who they are, and proving that kindness and success can absolutely go hand in hand.

She’s unapologetically herself. She’s funny, smart, generous, hardworking and has never forgotten where she came from.

The world could use a little more Dolly. 💕

So yes… if May the Fourth gets Star Wars Day, I think September 25th deserves Dolly Parton Day.
