One of the hardest things we had to do was close our historic storefront just over one year ago. It was something I never thought we would do or at least wouldn't do for many, many years. But life has a way of throwing you curve balls and sometimes you have to learn to go with the flow. The past year has been a time for growth and learning and acceptance but there's been a heaviness lingering. It's hard to explain but still owning the 205 Main building has meant holding on to Swans. Swans is not something I ever want to forget and the 205 Main building has been my "home" (I spent a heck of a lot more hours there than I ever did at my house in Laurel) since the beginning of 2008 - I hadn't graduated college, celebrated my 21st birthday, or gotten married yet! But there comes a time when you need to sever ties and that time has finally come. Today marks a monumental moment for us - we sold the building and new life will be brought inside its walls. I can release that heaviness I've been carrying and pass the torch on to the new owner. Please welcome Chele and her retail business, Refind & Refresh, to their new home at 205 (and 205 1/2) Main St! I have loved and cared for this building with my whole heart for almost 2 decades and wish Chele well on her journey to make this space her own. β€οΈ Jen
