Lamplighter’s Monday hymn of the day is TIS’ SO SWEET TO TRUST IN JESUS. Let’s learn about this old favorite:

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart.” Proverbs 3:5

Louisa Stead wrote this hymn after losing her husband at sea. In deep grief, she discovered trust in Jesus was sweeter than answers.

Trust holds when life hurts. Jesus doesn’t promise calm seas, only His presence in the storm.

Trust rests on His record. “How I’ve proved Him o’er and o’er.” The cross proves He’s faithful. If He carried your sin, He’ll carry your burden today.

Trust brings rest. “Just to take Him at His word.” Worry is picking up what Jesus asked you to lay down.

Our Prayer: Jesus, when I’m afraid, teach me it’s sweet to trust You. I take You at Your word today. Amen.

Lamplighter’s hymn of the day today is FAITH OF OUR FATHERS. Today let us go worship and sing praises to our Heavenly Father, but let us also honor and enjoy time with our earthly Fathers.
