Happy National Space Day! For 56 years, we have had the privilege to create space emblems and play a small part in the incredible missions to explore space. Take a look at where it all began with these throwback photos from the start of our partnership with NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration!
- The second slide shows a page from the Asheville Citizen in 1969 following the Apollo 11 moon landing where E. Henry Conrad gifted the employees framed Apollo 11 patches.
- The third slide is a photo of the Apollo XVII crew, the last astronauts to land on the moon, signed by Gene Cernan and Jack Schmitt.
- The final slide is a framed NASA patch signed by the Mercury Seven- Scott Carpenter, Gordon Cooper, John Glenn, Gus Grissom, Wally Shirra, Alan Shepard, and Deke Slayton.
We are so excited to see what the future of space exploration holds and to continue to create mission patches for future space explorers!
