I wish everyone was like this.
my biggest flex is that my kids are growing up thinking thrifting is completely normal.
They don’t see secondhand as “gross.”
They don’t see used as “less than.”
They see it as an adventure.
They get excited to walk through the doors of a thrift store.
They ask if we can go.
They hunt for treasures.
They know that some of our most loved clothes, books, toys, and pieces of furniture were found secondhand.
To them, it’s not about buying something brand new.
It’s about giving something a second life.
I love that they are learning early that value isn’t determined by a price tag.
That old doesn’t mean bad.
That someone else’s discarded item can become one of your favorite possessions.
In a world that constantly tells us we need more, newer, and better, I’m grateful my children are learning that sometimes the best things are the ones with a little history behind them.
And honestly, some of our greatest finds and sweetest memories have come from a thrift store. 🤍
