Store Closing/New Chapter
My dear Paisley Skye customers and friends, I am announcing that I am moving into a new chapter of my life. I have had my business for 12.5 years and have loved being a part of the community and growing as a small business owner. I’ve learned so much and made so many amazing friends along the way. But sometimes you have to say goodbye to good things to make way for better and more important things. That being said, I will be closing the store location of Paisley Skye on Bountiful Main Street at the end of April and we will be moving to online only. Our online store will be going under a major renovation and we plan to bring you a new and improved website sometime in June. We are building a workshop on our little farm and I will be running my online businesses from there. You will still be able to shop with me, but it will be by appointment only in West Bountiful.
As many of you know, we had a son a little over a year ago but he passed away a day after he was born. We’ve been on a journey to start a family for quite some time which has been difficult with the health issues I’ve had. It’s been a rough road but we now have two beautiful women in our lives that are surrogates carrying our biological babies. We are expecting a baby boy in July and a baby girl in August! We are over the moon! I’m also finishing up the last bit of my master's in mental health counseling and I’m beginning my career this summer interning as a counselor. I’m planning to specialize in neurocounseling with the hopes of working specifically with those with neurological issues, multiple sclerosis, and minor brain damage. I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in 2018 and have felt called to help others navigate the difficulties of having a neurological disease. I spent the first decade of my career working in youth corrections, juvenile probation, and in school counseling. I have loved helping others and have felt for some time the pull to move back into counseling and helping others again.
I will still be selling fabric through the Vintage Farm Girl on Etsy and will also be running the Paisley Skye online shop from my new home workshop. I will be offering private shopping appointments tentatively in June once everything is situated. So, if you need a gift or want to shop for fabric, you can still come and shop with me. I'll provide more details about this at a later date. Our new online store will be more focused on gifts and accessories. We will still carry some apparel, but it will be on a much smaller scale. We are planning on expanding our fabric selection.
My amazing neighbor Tami at Touche, will be expanding her store into my old space. So, stay tuned for what amazing things she will be doing with this space. I’ve loved my store location so much and I am sad to say goodbye, but it makes my heart happy to know that it will be taken care of by Tami. I’m so fortunate to have such a good friend and neighbor.
Starting Tuesday, April 4th, we are having a closing sale starting at 30% off all apparel, home decor, jewelry, shoes, and accessories. Our fabric will not be clearanced out and will not be part of the sale. We have ordered many new things for this closing sale so, be sure to stop by and check out what new things we have in stock!
And with that, I thank all of my customers, friends, family, and neighbors that have supported me through the years. So many of my customers have become my dearest friends. I’m so grateful for this amazing chapter in my life and I’m very excited about the new one up ahead. Thanks again for all of your support.
