🐺 CRYPTID CASE FILE #005: THE BEAST OF BRAY ROAD

📍 Elkhorn, Wisconsin
📅 1989–1991

Something was lurking along a quiet Wisconsin road. And witnesses claimed it wasn't quite human… or animal.

One night in 1989, Lorianne Endrizzi was driving along Bray Road when her headlights illuminated something crouching beside the pavement.

At first glance, it looked like a person kneeling.

But as she got closer, she realized something was very wrong.

The figure reportedly had dark fur, pointed ears, a long wolf-like snout, and clawed hands.

And it appeared to be holding roadkill in its hands.

The creature turned toward her headlights.

It didn't run.

It just watched.

Then, on Halloween night in 1991, another driver, Doristine Gipson, reported an even more terrifying encounter.

After stopping to investigate something she'd apparently struck in the road, she claimed a large, hairy creature came charging toward her ON TWO LEGS.

She scrambled back into her car and sped away.

According to her account, the creature lunged at her vehicle, leaving scratches on the trunk.

As more reports surfaced, local journalist Linda Godfrey began investigating.

The legend of the Beast of Bray Road was born.

Was something truly unusual stalking the Wisconsin countryside?

🐸 CRYPTID CASE FILE #004 — THE LOVELAND FROGMAN
Loveland, Ohio — March 3, 1972

It was around 1:00 in the morning when police officer Ray Shockey was driving near the Little Miami River.
Then something crossed the road.
At first, it looked like an animal.
Then it stood up.

Shockey reportedly described a strange creature roughly 3–4 feet tall with leathery skin and a frog- or lizard-like appearance.
Illuminated by the headlights, the creature reportedly moved toward the guardrail, disappeared down the embankment and headed toward the river.

Two weeks later, another officer reported seeing something strange in the same area.

Years later, that second officer would say the creature he encountered was actually a large iguana missing its tail.
So what crossed that lonely Ohio road in 1972?
