Back in 2020, Robert looked at me and said, “Ana, what if we started a roofing company?”

I remember looking at him like he was absolutely crazy.

At the time, it seemed like a far-fetched dream. We already had full lives, busy schedules, and plenty on our plates. But as the years passed, we continued to learn, grow, network, ask questions, watch countless YouTube videos, and surround ourselves with people who inspired us to think bigger.

This year, we came to a realization: our lives don’t have limits unless we place them there ourselves.

Along the way, we’ve been fortunate to meet an incredible young couple who have guided us, encouraged us, and answered every question we’ve had. One piece of advice they gave us continues to stick with me:

“What are you afraid of? Failure? A no? You’ll never find out what’s possible if you don’t go out there and try.”

So that’s exactly what we did.

We took the leap.

LAM BUILT Roofing isn’t just a business name. LAM represents the initials of our three children—the reason behind everything we do. The Spartan in our logo represents our hometown of West, Texas, a community that helped shape who we are and taught us the value of hard work, resilience, and showing up for others.

Have there been people who doubted us? Absolutely.

But what we’ve learned is that our village is much bigger than our doubts. The support, encouragement, and belief we’ve received from family, friends, and our community has been overwhelming, and for that we are incredibly grateful.

This is more than starting a roofing company. It’s proof that dreams don’t have expiration dates, that growth happens outside your comfort zone, and that sometimes the biggest opportunities begin with a simple question: “What if?”

The sky isn’t the limit—it’s only the beginning.
