Where do I start? I work in the Information Technology field for 30+ years. If I were to describe myself, I am a logical person, closure seeker, planner, controller. My family calls me, "The General" due to my above listed attributes. But, wait, that is only one part of me. I love, love, love to throw logic in the wind and let loose on my creative designs. My inspiratio

ns are derived from Old and New pieces. I am a collector of old components, the older the better. You will find in some of my pieces silver plate components originating from vintage silver platters which I have cut, hammered, patina'd in order to give my pieces a one of a kind look. Also, I like to work with copper, which you will see if some of my original designs. It all comes together in my basement bead room, which has become my creative haven. My designing path is a long one, with no end in sight. Thank you so much for spending time on my page. BTW, my FB page and Etsy shop is named after my dear golden retriever who was with us for a long time to the age of 15.5 years. Her name was Tillie and we always called her Tillie Girl. She crossed the bridge a few years back, but remains in our family's hearts.

I think tote bag season is upon us…… WAIT!
We, in central Wisconsin, are about to receive an ice storm of up to 1” of ice.
But, the ice will melt and the farmers markets and flea markets will begin again.
I made this darling tote bag from 2 vintage quilts, they are different on each side, the basket pattern and double wedding ring.
Its a good size one for all of your items to “tote around”.
Bag is 18” wide and 16” deep, straps are 28” long.
Fully lined with vintage fabric and includes an inside pocket, measures 8.5” x 7.5”.
$49 shipped to the US.

Maybe someone out there wants to add these 2 Cannon Seven Seas pink bath towels to their collection.
As part of my vintage towels de-stash I am letting these go for $60 shipped to the continental US.
Each measures 41.5” including the fringe x 24” wide.
Take a look at the pics as one appears newer than the other.
I did not get these as a set.
No holes, stains or tears.
Washed and ready for use.

Antique Trapunto 3D Stuffed Flower Basket Quilt, Applique Pastels, Nice Condition

Such a beautiful pastel trapunto technique displaying a basket with surrounding pastel flowers.
Measures 75” wide and 89” long.
Photographed on a queen bed, side overhang is approximately 6” and at the bottom 12”.
SPI is 8 - 10”.
I have photographed the damages, please review all of the pics carefully.
Some of the pastel pink flowers appear to be thinning, approximately 3 - 4.
The other flowers and basket are in very nice condition.
There are 3 stains that I have pointed out in the pics, 2 on the backside and 1 on the front.
The backside stains are a small light blue dot, and an age spot.
The frontside stain is a pink dot.
The edging is a soft blue and appears to be in good condition, no holes or fraying.
I did not find any holes in this quilt.
I would estimate this quilt is from the 20s - 40s.
I have soaked this quilt and is ready for use.

I found this vintage sleeping bag and knew it would be a great jacket.
Such bright colors and a great pattern, which I think is from the 70s.
It was certainly fun to work with and I am happy with the results.
I added 5 brass snaps as the front closures.
This pattern is an oversized Medium, and it will fit a Medium/Large perfectly. Would be oversized on a Small.

I have owned 2 of these vintage JC Penney quilted blankets in my life and they make darling jackets.
I just love the colors and the design. Paired with vintage corduroy and fabric for the accents, it makes a darling cropped jacket.
I left the original gathered hem of the blanket to be the bottom of the jacket and the sleeves.
This would be a great spring jacket.
