The Weavers Guild of Greater Kansas City had its annual holiday party this week. We had lots of fun, great conversations, scrumptious food and a gift exchange. This year's theme was something to wear around your neck. So many wonderful scarves and shawls showed the wide range of talent possessed by members of the guild.

Our annual members challenge took place yesterday at our October guild meeting. This year the theme was inspired by a book. We gave members five books each from a different genre to base their work on. Three projects were chosen by member vote to receive gift certificates to The Yarn Barn in Lawrence, KS. Books represented by projects were Murder on the Orient Express, Outlander, Lord of the Rings, Romeo and Juliet and The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
